REI has been a third party testing facility for the State of Ohio since 1991 and continues to provide it’s examination services to the residents of Ohio with professionalism and integrity.
Our facility is staffed with 5 state certified CDL examiners and is located on the training grounds of TDDS Technical Institute in Lake Milton, Ohio.
To ensure uniformity in testing procedures, the State of Ohio closely monitors, audits and tests our CDL Examiner Staff at least once per year. The examiners also attend an annual in-service training meeting one time per year to update all staff on new regulations and test procedures.

- REI is an Official Third Party CDL Skills Testing Facility for the State of Ohio.
- Testing is available for Class A, B and Commercial Drivers Licensing, including School Bus licensing.
- General public testing appointments are available Monday through Saturday from 7:30am to 2:30pm. Applicants can test with their own equipment or, if needed, rent test vehicles through TDDS Technical Institute.
- The required state skills testing fee is $85.00 and depending on the type of equipment needed, rental charges range from $100 to $150.
- To schedule your test, please visit our "Make an Appointment" page and follow all instructions. Remember, on your test date, you must have in your possession your Valid Ohio Driver’s License (card) and your Valid Ohio Temporary CDL Permit (card).
